EYFS

Welcome to the Conker class...

Here you can find out about our learning and see what Early Years is all about.

Our Spring 1 topic - 'Why don't snakes have legs?'

Take a look at what we have been up to this week..

What an exciting start to our new term we had........Reptiles Etc came to visit us with a bearded dragon, a corn snake, a blue tongue skink, a tortoise and a Burmese python!! We learnt lots of new facts about them, touched them, stroked them and held them!! It was VERY exciting!! The python was so heavy that it took 10 of us at a time to hold it!!!

We wrote some facts about what we had learnt from our visit, ready for the snake fact book that we are making.

We started our new talk for writing text, called 'The Greedy Python' by Eric Carle. We have started to learn the story as well as reading other books by the same author.

In maths we have been exploring what happens to numbers when we count forwards and backwards, as well as working out one more and one fewer than numbers up to 10. We also looked at ordinal numbers using the story 'Loo Queue!'

Welcome to our new Conker Class

The resources in EYFS are played with thoroughly almost every day and from time to time they don't make it in one piece. If you have a surplus of toys please check our Wish List to see it you can fill a gap in our resourcing needs.
