EYFS

Welcome to Acorn and Conker classes...

Here you can find out about our learning and see what Early Years is all about.

Our Summer 2 topic - Land Ahoy!!

Take a look at what we have been up to this week..

This week we started learning the story of 'The Night Pirates.' We ordered the story, created a story map and then retold the story using actions.

We looked at a range of treasure maps and wrote a set of instructions to get to the treasure! We also talked about the use of keys on maps. We created our own keys for the treasure maps that we designed last week.

We finished cooking some treasure island rock buns this week too, which smelt absolutely delicious!! We also made our dads a lovely card for Father's Day.

In maths we have been looking at capacity, using the language of capacity and then thinking about what kind of arbitrary units we could use to measure capacity. We then measured a variety of containers, recorded their capacity and put them in order of which held the most and which held the least.

Welcome to our new EYFS children.

The resources in EYFS are played with thoroughly almost every day and from time to time they don't make it in one piece. If you have a surplus of toys please check our Wish List to see it you can fill a gap in our resourcing needs.
