St Luke's Church of England Primary School, Tiptree, Essex

LKS2 took part in an Egyptian WOW day this week as part of their topic. They learnt about mummification, played Egyptian games and learnt many facts about the era. The children looked wonderful!

With the hot weather forecast this week, please ensure children have sun cream applied before school. Also, can we ask all children to bring in a sun hat and at least one full water bottle.

A huge thank you to Isla and Willow M's parents for donating these brand new nets and buckets for the pond renovation- we are very grateful!

A group of year 6 children have been taking part in the voluntary Community Challenge Award. They have researched a local place of interest, learnt new skills, volunteered 2 hours of their time to help others and have been creative! The children that met all of the deadlines, were rewarded with the team building day at Prances Cottage. Thank you to Miss Polley, Mrs Howell, Miss Latham and Miss Cotterill for supporting on the day. I hope the children in year 5 will want to take part next year. Mrs Walker
