Here you can find out about our learning and see what Early Years is all about.
This week we looked at keys on treasure maps; what they are and how they are used. We then created keys for the treasure maps that we made last week.
We have also been creating a story map for our talk for writing book, 'The Night Pirates' We then wrote the story together using the five story parts method.
In maths we have been exploring mass. We have found the heaviest and lightest objects, ordered objects by weight and then begun using arbitrary units to measure how much objects weigh. We also had a go at estimating the weight of different objects.
We have also had lots of fun den building and and constructing with the bricks, tyres, tubes and the fabrics in the outside area.
Over the last couple of weeks we have been cooking treasure island rock cakes with Mrs Howard. They were green, (for the land) and had a Caribbean umbrella on top! The looked and smelt delicious.
We finished our week off with a fantastic sport's day. The children all tried their absolute best and scored lots of points for their teams!!

Welcome to our new EYFS children.
The resources in EYFS are played with thoroughly almost every day and from time to time they don't make it in one piece. If you have a surplus of toys please check our Wish List to see it you can fill a gap in our resourcing needs.
