EYFS
Welcome to the Conker class...
Here you can find out about our learning and see what Early Years is all about.
Summer 2 topic - Land Ahoy!
Have a look at what we have been up to this week..
This week we have been learning all about sea pollution and the life of Sir David Attenborough. We read the story 'Someone Swallowed Stanley' and discussed the importance of looking after all the animals in the ocean.
In maths we have been solving addition and subtraction word problems. We had to decide what kind of calculation it was first, then write the appropriate equation, and finally solve it.
On Thursday we went on our first school trip to Danbury Lakes for a pirate day. We learnt how to be pirates, climbing the rigging, laying in hammocks, climbing rope ladders, burying treasure, drawing treasure maps, making flags, solving problems and building ships!! It was a great day.
We finished our week with an outdoor adventurous day with KS1, where we did a wide range of forest school-type activities, such as natural object salt dough, nature crowns, sketching, snores on the open fire, pond dipping, treasure hunts and lots, lots more!

Welcome to our new Conker Class

The resources in EYFS are played with thoroughly almost every day and from time to time they don't make it in one piece. If you have a surplus of toys please check our Wish List to see it you can fill a gap in our resourcing needs.
