11+ 2024 Entry (CSSE)
Registration for the 11+ exam will be from 16th May to 30th June 2023 inclusive. CSSE schools intend to hold open days/evenings during June/July 2023. All dates and arrangements are correct at the time of publication (Feb '23) and regular updates are avalible via the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE):

| 30 Jun 2023 | Deadline date for receipt of evidence supporting requests for special arrangements. |
| 30 Jun 2023 | Deadline date for CSSE Registration form to be returned to the CSSE office. |
| 21 Jul 2023 | Test centre letters should be received by parents. |
| AUTUMN TERM | LOCAL AUTHORITIES DISTRIBUTE INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR APPLICATION PROCESS. |
| 23 Sep 2023 | Saturday main 11+ day |
| 3 Oct 2023 | Tuesday test day for applicants that have a religious objection to sitting on a Saturday or are ill on the main day. |
| 16 Oct 2023 | Results will be sent out by first class post to all candidates. |
| 31 Oct 2023 | Published closing date for the receipt of applications to Local Authorities. |

English Paper
This will comprise of:
- Comprehension, grammar and vocabulary questions
- Two pieces of continuous writing
- Applied reasoning (literacy/verbal)
The paper will last 1 hour, with an additional 10 minutes reading time and will be worth 60 marks in total.
Mathematics Paper
This will comprise of:
- Questions consistent with the National Curriculum
- Applied Reasoning (mathematical/non-verbal)
The paper will last 1 hour and will be worth 60 marks in total.
Free test papers for 2015 Entry to 2019 Entry are available to download from the CSSE website. Test papers for 2020 entry will be available to download from May 2023. Test papers for 2021 entry and 2022 entry are on sale now. Papers for 2023 entry will go on sale from 9th May 2023 to primary school parents. A parental order form will be available on the CSSE website.
