Summer 2 topic - Land Ahoy!

Have a look at what we have been up to this week..

This week we have created treasure maps complete with keys and an 'X marks the spot!!' We have also looked at coordinates on pirate maps and worked out the correct coordinates to describe where objects were. 

In maths we have been exploring capacity and thinking about ways to record the capacity of different containers, and what we could use as an arbitrary unit.

We have also started creating collaged port-holes, making different sea creatures using a variety of different materials. 

The children also finished cooking their Treasure Island rock cakes with Mrs Howard. They looked and smelt delicious!!

The resources in EYFS are played with thoroughly almost every day and from time to time they don't make it in one piece. If you have a surplus of toys please check our Wish List to see it you can fill a gap in our resourcing needs.
